Sara and Anthony’s winter desert elopement took advantage of downtown Tucson’s historical beauty and the glowing desert landscape of nearby Saguaro National Park. These two met in their graduate program at the University of Arizona, and now they’re officially married! They share a love for chemistry, hikes, video games, science, and their cats, and their winter desert wedding day was true-to-them and gorgeous.
These two chose a historic and beautiful downtown property to get married. Joined by five of their closest Tucson buddies, Sara and Anthony walked each other down the aisle and said their vows in the garden while their guests watched from a distance appropriate for 2020. A friend recorded the ceremony for the parents who couldn’t be there, (a great idea for anyone wanting to include people who can’t be present) and as soon as the marriage certificate was signed, we were off to go enjoy the sunset at Saguaro National Park.
You may not be able to tell from these sunny, warm-looking photos, but it was a super chilly evening, so we snagged portraits as quickly as we could before wrapping Sara up in a blanket and celebrating with a toast and a champagne pop. From their florals to the beautiful velvet details and the Saguaros all around them, Sara and Anthony embraced all the magic that comes with a winter elopement in the desert. It was a perfect, relaxing, and beautiful day to begin a marriage. Congratulations, Sara & Anthony! I hope the desert reminds you of your perfect wedding day forever.
Thank you to all the vendors who made this day beautiful! We couldn’t have done it without you!
