Everyone in the wedding industry has their own ideas about what makes a wonderful wedding. For some, the wonder is in the details. Unique florals and place settings help tell the story of a couple and what their eyes are drawn to. For others, a wedding is made by the people in it. Best friends surround a couple on the happiest day of their lives, and the love in the air only grows as the day moves into sparkler exits and getaway cars. Sometimes, a wedding is made purely on the magic radiating off the bride and groom, as they step into their new life together as husband and wife. Sammi and Steven’s wedding checked all those boxes. Theirs is a wedding I won’t soon forget.
The wedding was at The Farm at South Mountain. Tucked into the foothills of South Mountain, it’s a little piece of green in Phoenix’s desert. Between the pecan grove, grass, and overcast skies, you’d hardly believe you were in the middle of Phoenix. It was an undoubtedly beautiful location, but the people and love surrounding this couple were far and away the most heart-warming part of this wedding. From the wedding party, to their family, and even their dog, Luna, I was stricken by the incredible warmth of the people Sammi and Steven surround themselves with. Every toast, every dance, and every hug running at them from across the venue was an illustration of the kind of life Sammi and Steven are building together– a life of joy,
I don’t know exactly what the future has in store for Sammi and Steven, but if their wedding can be a predictor of the life ahead of them, I do know this: they will make each other laugh. They will make their family laugh. They will love each other. They will dance hard, and they will love their dog harder. They will make each other happy.
Sammi and Steven, thank you for allowing us to be part of your family for the day. It was truly an honor, and we can’t believe how lucky we are to have spent such a beautiful day with you. You two are the best.
Cheers to the wonderful vendor team!
