A couple walking and kissing at sunset

This Windy Point engagement session was a long time coming. Dominic and Nooria were engaged last year, but their relationship began in Tucson, Arizona about 9 years ago. They met in a college math class, and ever since then, they’ve been pretty much inseparable.

I know this because:

A. They reminded me the other day when I asked them

B. I’ve known them for their entire relationship.

Dominic is Ty’s lifelong friend and college roommate, and when he and Nooria started dating, she spent a whole bunch of time with us wrangling the boys’ crazy antics, and let me tell you, she’s a good one. These two are perfect together, have moved 8(??) times together in the last few years, and are just as wonderful a couple as they were on day one.

When they got engaged, we knew we had to do an engagement session on Mount Lemmon’s Windy Point. It’s a beautiful location no matter how you look at it, but Dominic practically grew up on Mount Lemmon, and the two of them have created countless memories at his parents cabin enjoying snow and relief from the desert heat.

When it came time to put a ring on it, there was nowhere else Dominic could imagine asking Nooria to marry him. One cold evening, Dominic proposed at his family’s cabin as they quietly waited to surprise her with an engagement celebration! She, of course, said yes, and though they’ve had to deal with the stress of planning a wedding mid-pandemic, they’ve only seemed happier every time I’ve seen them since.

We had to while to do these photos because of Coronavirus, but spending time in the fresh air of Mount Lemmon’s Windy Point was well worth the wait. Their engagement session was a ton of fun, and they were such good sports as we braved the wind together!

I can’t wait to finally celebrate with them at their wedding this fall at El Conquistador!
